The weekend always means that Jason and I finally get to see each other after a long working week (though we still could on weekdays – lol but whatever), but sadly, I had an article due on Monday for class at school. We ended up going for a work date in a café in Causeway Bay I’d once seen on Openrice.com called Just Café.
Just Café is an upstairs coffee shop opened by Christians. If you’re looking for a quiet place to rest, work or have a more private meeting with your friends, I highly recommend it. After all, a location away from the crowds is almost nonexistent in Causeway Bay. Can’t comment on the food because I only had a mint tea, but the owners were super nice! A+ for service definitely!
A bit more about my article though: I only had three days to finish it. I’d received the task on Friday, and although I’d basically written three-quarters of it the night before already (which was around 1500 words), I didn’t feel comfortable just going out with my work incomplete… hence, the unadventurous date with my boyfriend. #workaholic
The two of us stayed at Just Café for several hours but were trapped until 6PM because it was pouring and we didn’t have an umbrella. The staff were friendly enough to offer us one, but we declined as we weren’t sure when we’d be back to return it. At least it was a day well spent because we didn’t waste any sunshine! Because was dark outside thanks to the storm, my photos turned out all wonky with bad lighting. Sorry guys! 🙁
