I’ve always been deathly afraid of wearing maxi dresses at the grand height of five glorious feet. Back in high school, I stuck solely to miniskirts and banished any dress or skirt that ended below the knee to a kingdom far, far away. But the other day, I found myself rethinking the whole problem. Who says short girls can’t wear maxi dresses, anyway? Watch me debunk this myth with the olive maxi dress.
From miniskirts to floor-sweeping dresses, the world wide web has countless varieties of dresses up for sale. It took me forever to settle on one! In the end, I picked a ribbed maxi dress in an olive shade that’s suitable for the weather now. The verdict? I love it.

Olive maxi dress
You may be vertically challenged, but you’re not bound to miniskirts for life. The key is in the style of the maxi dress you choose. Choose a plain colour rather than colour blocks that cut at weird places, and steer clear of excessive embellishment. Less is more! The olive maxi dress elongates my body and makes it look as though I actually have long, long legs. And hey, I’m not arguing with that!

What can I say, I’m officially a maxi dress convert. Gone are the days of rolling up my school skirt in high school. Give me all the floor-length gowns! How do you style your own long dress? Let me know in the comments! 🙂
