If you’ve ever tried on a petite blazer that isn’t actually petite, I feel ya. There are so many styles of blazers on the market right now: the boyfriend, the open-front, the double-breasted, not to mention different shades and prints as well: plain, plaid, gingham. But one thing in common between all of them for the petite girls out there? None of them actually fit.
In my experience, even blazers that are marked as petite aren’t actually petite. It feels like us smaller girls are doomed to an eternity of oversized fits. Which is fine, but let’s be real: for certain situations, you’ll want a fitted piece. So if you have an important job interview lined up, a little trick is to shop in the kid’s section!

Two of the items I’m wearing are cheap finds from thrift shops in Hong Kong and in Korea, namely the grey skirt and the black loafers. I also have on a black H&M Knit Jumper, which yes, I’m still wearing despite it being a scorching 32ºC where I live because
I’m crazy I get cold easily. The star of the show, though, is the Zara Boys Navy Blazer. A smaller size can be worn as a fitted blazer, while a larger size can be worn as a boyfriend blazer. I decided to go for the oversized fit and matched it with other neutral coloured pieces, including the Uniqlo Short Socks and the aforementioned grey skirt and black loafers. The result is one of my favourite semi-casual looks this summer! 🙂
