When I imagined my birthday this year, I didn’t think it’d be smack right in the middle of a global outbreak. Not that it changes anything, of course. I stopped feeling excited for my birthday years ago. I do not need to be reminded that I’m getting older by the day.
Anyway, here’s how I spent my special day!
House 1881
As a special treat, I went to House 1881 for afternoon tea. No pictures of the actual tea set because the food was average at best. I did have fun taking selfies in the restaurant, though.
Matchali
I also checked out the Matchali pop-up at The Upper House… although I didn’t actually get anything from the menu. Basically, I went just to snap tons of pictures at The Upper House’s outdoor seating area since the colours of the hotel match my Instagram aesthetic. Hey, at least I’m being honest!
The Continental
After taking pictures at The Upper House, I went for dinner at The Continental, which was where I celebrated my birthday two years ago. The food was as good as I remembered it, as was the service. Please note that I’m a huge Swire fangirl though so this may be biased. 😛
And that concludes my super boring birthday. Basically everything I do, I do for the ‘Gram, lol. Did I put you to sleep yet? Sorry!

I know the feeling. I also celebrated my 25th birthday in Lockdown. Great to see that you at least managed to make the best of it! Well, it will definitely be a very memorable birthday!
