Last December, my workplace took us to The Repulse Bay for a Christmas team lunch. While I was unimpressed by the food (it was edible at best), I fell in love with the architecture and interior.
Dining at The Repulse Bay isn’t cheap, so I stayed well away from the place. But still unable to forget about it half a year later, I gave in and made a reservation for afternoon tea.
But first! Some cute selfies, courtesy of yours truly 😛
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s move on to the main point of this post…
The Repulse Bay was, as I remembered it, gorgeous. Looking out to the endless South China Sea, the residential building and commercial complex is known for its British architectural style dating back to 1920.
Sadly, the food didn’t match up to its architectural splendour. Like I mentioned – edible at best. The Repulse Bay’s signature afternoon tea included savoury bites like smoked salmon and capers on crispy bread, truffle-scramble egg tartlet and tomato bread roll; and sweet treats like Uji matcha crust and hazelnut praline dome, caramel chocolate pillow and strawberry and blackberry tart.
Overall though, I would say I had a good experience. The relaxed atmosphere of the venue made me feel like I was on vacation. The staff were really attentive and even offered me a replacement mask when I dropped mine. Barring the food, I’d give The Repulse Bay a 10 out of 10.

Aw I'm sad that the food wasn't the greatest, looks like a cute place though, and you look amazing!

Looks like a great place for some interesting and dynamic photos. Sometimes I think places try too hard with their food selections though.
